Notice of Domain Change
Recently, unexpected policy changes and reliability issues have been occasionally reported with some new top-level domains (nTLDs). (Related case, Korean) However, this post is not intended to complain about or criticize the .page domain itself, and no issues related to the .page domain have been reported to date. Furthermore, since the .page TLD is managed by Google Registry, it is hard to consider it a problematic domain.
Nevertheless, having secured a satisfactory .org domain, I plan to change the root domain for both this site and the Comet Database site (beta) I operate to earth-science.org.
The domain transition is scheduled to be completed by April 2026, and some parts of the current site have already been updated to reflect this change. The existing domain will be maintained in parallel for at least a year following the transition.
